Our mission is to extend the university to serve the campus, the local community, and the surrounding region. That means being more attentive to the needs and desires of students who are not able to attend school during the traditional academic year.
External Degree Completion Program
Our External Degree Completion Program provides print-based correspondence courses to off-campus transfer students seeking degrees in Social Science, Sociology, and Sociology/Criminology as well as a variety of other upper-division and lower-division general education courses.

Accelerated Classes for Working Adults
At our off-campus sites in Colorado Springs we offer degrees in Social Work, Social Sciences, and Sociology, and also a minor in Business in accelerated classroom-based courses designed for working adults. Courses are available in accelerated 9 and 15 week formats, and are usually held one or two times per week in the evenings. Other classes are scheduled on weekends to provide for maximum flexibility.
Other Continuing Ed Programs
We also provide in-service training to teachers, dual secondary/college credit courses to advanced high schools students, independent study, and a vast array of non-credit professional development and personal enrichment classes for the general public.
