Master of Science in Industrial and System Engineering
Full-time students admitted to the program with regular status are eligible to apply for graduate assistantships.
Graduate Assistants may get additional assistance to pay tuition and fees.
Full-time assistantships require students to work an average of 12 hours per week and carry a stipend. Students awarded full-time positions are required to choose the thesis option unless excused by the MSISE Program Director. Half-time assistantships require students to work an average of 6 hours per week and carry a stipend. The stipend amount varies.
Assistantships are renewable for a second academic year provided students perform satisfactorily in assistantship assignments, remain in good academic standing, and make satisfactory progress toward the completion of their degree programs.
An application for assistantship consists of a letter of interest and resume, addressed to the department chair.
The deadline for applications is April 1 for the following academic year.
Master of Science in Applied Natural Science
Many students in the program are supported through departmental teaching assistantships (TA), continuing faculty grants and/or various scholarships and fellowships available through the CSU-Pueblo Foundation or other sources.
All students admitted to the program with regular status will be considered for teaching assistantships (TA), based upon their qualifications.
Students must be admitted to the program by May 15 in order to be considered for teaching assistantships the following academic year. The MSANS Program Director notifies students who are awarded teaching assistantships.
Students on a teaching assistantship must enroll for a minimum of 9 semester credits of graduate work. Teaching assistantships are awarded to students on a one semester renewable contract, with one probationary semester. Support may be available for a maximum of four semesters. Renewal is subject to approval and satisfactory performance. The appropriate department chair will determine teaching assignments.
